Verve Home – Award-Winning Escarpment Living
Verve Home is a standout example of architectural excellence, perched atop a dramatically sloping site and seamlessly integrated into the natural escarpment landscape. Built by Nelson Janke and designed by Murray from Alisco Designs, this project was an absolute joy to be part of—from initial concepts to the final styling touches. As the interior designer, I was engaged to oversee all internal and external selections, from finishes and fixtures to custom joinery and furniture. Every element was chosen to complement the home’s unique architectural form while enhancing its warmth, liveability, and flow. From the moment you enter, the design invites connection—with the surrounding landscape, with those who live in it, and with the finer details that make a house feel like home. Working alongside clients who placed their trust in my process made this project even more rewarding. Their openness allowed for a cohesive and intuitive design journey, resulting in a home that is both functional and visually striking. It’s no surprise that Verve Home was recognised as the 2020 Master Builders Downs & Western House of the Year—a well-deserved honour that speaks to the care, creativity, and craftsmanship that shaped every stage of this build.
